A Gnani Purush is one who is Self Realized, has Spiritual Presence, and is able to enlighten another human being. Such a Being, A Gnani Purush did indeed walk the face of this earth very recently, amidst us. He came to be known as Dada Bhagwan. He became a Gnani Purush in 1958 when he realized the Gnan and experienced the answers to the questions: “Who am I? What is God? What is the role of God? Who is the doer? What is karma? What is liberation? How can one be free from the bondage of karma?” Subsequently, thousands of people have acquired the same Knowledge of The Self, through him.

Gnani Purush Dada Bhagwan is not living today as a visible being. His “Knowledge of The Self” or AtmaGnan is His Living Presence, and the revered Dr. Niruben Amin is carrying on his Work with full force. The goal of this work is for all beings come to realize the Bliss of The Self. To this end, Dr. Niruben travels from villages to towns in India and small towns and large cities abroad. Dr. Niruben spent a major part of her adult life in close company with The Gnani Purush and stayed with Him until he left his mortal body.

Originally from a Charotar Patel community from the town of Vaso, Gujarat, Niruben was born in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. After completing her studies in Bombay, she trained as a physician in Aurangabad. Towards the end of her medical studies, Dr. Niruben met Shri Dada Bhagwan. Soon after she came to know the Gnani Purush she dedicated her entire life in service and devotion to Him. This continues even today.

She has compiled and presented to the world Aptavanis volumes 1 to 13, and other great works entitled: Aptasutra, Swachhand, Samaj Thhi Praapt Brahmacharya, Mrutyu Samaye: Pahela aney Pachchhi, Vartmaan Tirthankar Shri Simandhar Swami, Vani no Siddhant, Karma nu Vignan, Maa -Baap Chhokara no Vyavahaar, Pati-Patni no Vyavahaar, Paisa no Vyavahaar. Aside from these works, she directs two monthly publications entitled Dadavani. Dr. Niruben’s serial discourses on the life of the twenty-four tirthankars on television and on videocassette, has spread the message of Vitarag Dharma and Akram Vignan all over the world. Dadashri left his mortal body on January 2, 1988 in absolute samadhi. Thereafter Dr. Niruben took over his work of spiritual salvation for the world with full energy and earnestness. During the last twenty years of Dadashri’s life, Dr. Niruben had been in His service day and night, and remained in satsang with him as he visited villages and cities in India and abroad. By staying with Him up until His last moments, she acquired His grace and Gnansiddhi and today, just as He used to do, she goes from place to place in India and various places abroad to grace folks who are ready to receive the bliss of the Self, by giving them Atmagnan, the Knowledge of The Self. Just like Dadashri she is self-sufficient and does not take any money from anyone for her daily living needs. Dadashri did not establish any sect of religion nor did he appoint a successor to his scientific religion. He always used to maintain that the real inheritor of his science of spirituality would be the one that the world would accept. Many young men and women come to meet Dr. Niruben, and some of them have decided to surrender their worldly life preferring a life of celibacy. They have joined her in spreading the bliss of The Self through Akram Vignan. Dr. Niruben recorded many precious words of Dadashri on audiocassette, and these cassettes have become the foundation from which the words of The Gnani Purush are presented to the world. Dr. Niruben has compiled and edited the aforementioned books, which have now become an invaluable treasure for the world. Today, in the overt absence of Dadashri, the flame remains alive as it lights the lamp of knowledge in thousands through the medium of Dr. Niruben. Those who have attained Atmagnan through the medium of Dr. Niruben have experienced the bliss of the Self and come to realize lasting peace within their homes and worldly life. Meaningless abhorrence and negative attitudes within families and other worldly relationships has vanished. Thousands are merrily and comfortably getting on with their worldly life as their “Niruma” represents the Gnani for them, secure in their conviction that all spiritual quests have come to rest in her presence. No one who has live darshan with her sees her as an ordinary woman. And also, one becomes aware of that which is beyond any gender identity. The One that has arisen within her gives glimpses of extraordinary presence of that which is beyond the ordinary and worldly. Dr. Niruben has only one goal in life--a single deep inner intent. This goal is to reveal to the world the Akram Vignan of Gnani Purush Dada Bhagwan and let it provide salvation for the world. Her thoughts, speech and acts are devoted solely to this purpose. She is also revealing the presence of Shri Simandhar Swami to all so that they may attain peace in their daily life, bliss within, and liberation in the time to come. Thousands of non-Jains and Jains have come to understand the cardinal importance of recognizing the current living tirthankar, Shri Simandhar Swami. His live darshan is still possible today along the path to final liberation.
